We pushed PFC out one week to August 1 & 2, 2009, to give us more time between the mountain men that have use of the meadow before PFC (it is really hard to mark trail when hatchets and arrows are zinging by!).
·· UPDATES ··
July 1, 2009 - 2008 PFC photos have been uploaded to the Photo page. There are some really fun shots!! Last year's ride results are located on the Ride Info page.
June 30, 2009 - We received a ton of Pre-Registrations already and I ordered the 1/2 chaps on June 6th (plus a bunch of extras in all sizes). If you missed the deadline of June 5th, don't worry you can still come to the ride. We just can guarantee your size in the 1/2 Chaps. I would still recommend pre-registering so Friday night's registration line will go quicker (and we'll have a better head count for the food. We want to make sure we have enough food for everyone!). Linda has been working on the trails. She is working on making a few changes to some of the trails to make them a little easier. Check out the tentative trail maps on the Ride Info page.
May 30, 2009 - I just got word from Just Chaps and they need to have our order in by the end of next week for how many 1/2 Chaps we need in each size.
If you think you are going to come to The Pink Flamingo Classic on August 1 & 2, 2009 and ride both days (any distance, any horse), we need your pre-registration in our feathered hands by Friday, June 5th at 5pm. Sorry, absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS! Please forward this to your friends.
The PFC is an AHA recognized ride, too!
______________________________________________
Remember to ride smart and ride both days of the PFC. If you complete each day, any distance, any horse, you'll receive a pair of black half chaps by Just Chaps with our cute little bird embroidered on it somewhere. We are so excited!!
New ride entry prices: 50 miles - $85; 25/30 miles - $85; (Juniors $10 discount on Endurance and LD rides. 2009 AERC Ride Mangers $20 discount - limit 1); Trail Ride - $20. Dinners are included on Friday & Saturday nights (extra dinner tickets may be purchased for $10/each; after July 15th - $15/each). A $15 Day-Member Fee will be added for all non-AERC members with the exception of Trail Riders (please present 2009 AERC card at Registration or we will have to collect the $15).
For all the details, click on 2009 Ride Flyer or Pre-Registration Form.
Remember to bring a few extra fun dollars for the Strides Against Breast Cancer Raffle too. We'll have lots and lots of great raffle prizes that have been donated by generous folks. With their help and yours, last year we raised over $4,800!
·· CONGRATULATIONS ··
With your help at the Pink Flamingo Classic, we raised over $4,800 in 2008 for the American Cancer Society Strides Against Breast Cancer Research.

Special thanks goes out to all the vendors, riders, and individuals who donated prizes and who bought tons raffle tickets. Big and small they all add up.
Thank you!

Thank you, Williams Northwest Pipeline who graciously donated grant monies available through employee participated programs.
We can't thank High Country Plastics out of Caldwell, Idaho enough for there amazing donation of water tanks, bridle racks, stools, water tanks, steer horns, and trailer tanks. They filled our trailer with their wonderful products for this great cause. High Country Plastics even made us a 300+ gallon pink water tank that Diane Simpson won (Diane said she'd let us use it for the ride each year).
The pressure is on for 2009! We'll have to come up with even more fun raffle prizes and we'll have to beat $4,800. So save your pennies and some space in your trailer to bring home all your prizes. (I think Steph Teeter had to make two trips).
